20 Amazing Photos from the 2018 Cherokee Powwow

Dancers, drummers, and singers from many Native American nations came together again this year to share their talents and cultures at the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians’ 43rd Annual 4th of July Powwow. Hundreds of competitors of all ages, from Tiny Tots (five and under) to the Golden Age (55 and older), danced alongside enrolled tribal members from across the Americas. Couldn’t make it to this year’s Powwow? Don’t worry! You may have missed the Powwow, but you still have the opportunity to see some of the highlights of the event. Cherokee photographer Kristy Herron photographed the Powwow again this year. She shared some of her favorites with us. We love these shots, and hope you do, too!

Take a look at Kristy’s Powwow photos from 2017 in our post 20 Beautiful Cherokee Powwow Photos You Have to See to Believe. To see even more of her beautiful photography follow Kristy Herron on Instagram.
